I've actually been working my butt off on a small personal project! I've been trying to put together a super short lil animation, mostly to try to force myself to draw BGs that actually have to be applied to an animated project and not just for funs. I've been putting it all together in toonboom which is a new program to me, but it's always very rewarding to feel yourself learning something new. I'm going to try to have this thing done in the next few weeks, everyone wish me luck.

Looks like it's going to be a fairy tale. Beautiful work! I agree with Tim: the top one is awesome. It reminds me of a little German village. I'm also curious about the mansion inside the castle.
